| Abstract: |
| Based on the mechanism of destabilization and characteristics of slopes, and on the statistic model according to the observed data, a cusp catastrophe model and an expression of stability for slopes are established by use of the catastrophe theory. Calculation results of an example show that the model is reasonable and feasible. |
