| Abstract: |
| The concept of tolerable risk for dam safety and its appropriate criteria margins are discussed. Based on a probabilistic risk assessment and an expression for loss of life predictions in case of dam failure, a method of tolerable risk analysis for dam safety decision-making is suggested. |
