| Abstract: |
| The current development of river bed and the phenomena of weakened navigation at major shoal sections in the middle reach channel of the Yangtze River are briefly described. Based on the variation of water and sediment due to 135 m height storage of the Three Gorges Project, the development tendency and the potential hindering of navigation in the middle reach channel of the Yangtze River are predicted, and counter measures are also discussed. |
