| Abstract: |
| The conventional formulas in the code calculating temperature loads and temperature stresses of arch dams, are introduced; the location where the control stress may occour and the corresponding loads combination are described. Calculation results of the code and empirical formulas are compared, showing that the conventional formulas are more rational in calculating the temperature loads of arch dams. |
